Abernant Lake Hotel

Powys, Wales

Abernant Lake Hotel activity centre offers exceptional facilities within a 55 acre site in a beautiful part of Mid Wales.

Our activity centre is sandwiched between the Brecon Beacons and the Cambrian mountains. It is only situated 13 miles from Builth Wells, which plays host to the Welsh Agricultural Show each year.

The hotel has views over undulating countryside with the Cambrian mountains in the distance. Our 5 acre lake and adjoining river provides a lovely backdrop for our range of outdoor activities.

Setting the standard for residential activity centre education

Our purpose is to provide a high quality experience in a safe and caring environment, for the development of young people through the provision of educational adventure courses at our residential activity centres in the UK and France. Many companies concentrate solely on providing fun. We regard this as an opportunity wasted. Of course, fun and new experiences are an important part of any course, but by working with schools we are able to bring the curriculum to life to help motivate and inspire children. Our courses are carefully designed to be fully compatible with the National Curriculum - Physical Education, Outdoor and Adventurous Activities Key stages 2, 3 & 4.
