Le Château du Broutel dates back to 1714 and is situated in more than 40 acres of beautiful grounds. In addition to the main Château building the estate comprises of extensive outbuildings, two large houses and a newly refurbished £1 million West Wing comprising of 30 en suite bedrooms. In 2005 we invested over £500,000 into the Normandy Complex providing another 15 en suite bedroom accommodation. A superb patio overlooks our private lake and the manicured lawns with 100 year old chestnuts providing a spectacular back drop.
Le Château du Broutel is situated on the edge of the small historical town of Rue. Originally established as a Roman outpost, it grew in prosperity in the 6th Century due to its port and later became the capital of the region.
Le Château du Broutel can accommodate up to 225 pupils. Teachers are accommodated in en suite twin bedrooms with tea/coffee making facilities and television. Teachers also have access to common rooms. Accommodation facilities include four drying rooms for clothing, and we also provide internet access on site.
At our 18th century château in the Somme department, Northern France, we provide school groups with first class facilities and quality instructors in a safe secure location. For more information about our tailor made courses, please click the buttons below:

“Thank you for making our recent trip with 45 pupils to Château du Broutel such an enjoybale experience. Your organisation creates an excellent impression and you are always very cheerful, flexible and resourceful. It is always a delight to deal with you and I know as I am passing on this trip to another member of staff, she is in safe hands.
I am delighted to say we were all very impressed by the professionalism and sheer helpfulness of your centre once again. From the organisation to our return, I was pleased with the efficiency and excellent planning. All of the staff at the centre were so easy to deal with by their constant support which helped alleviate any problems.
Everyone was extremely helpful and also seemed to do everything for us - no job being too big or small. It was an extremely safe, supportive and enjoyable environment for our pupils and all were enthused about their visit.
I hope you will pass on our many thanks to all at the centre, who we would have no reservations about recommending to other schools.
On behalf of the pupils and staff, I would like to thank you all again for being such a fantastic team.”
